Connecting to God
In a world that seems to be constantly changing, we believe that there is a God who never changes, loves us and wants to be connected with us.  More than that, He longs to have a relationship with us.  But what does that mean?
Whether you have starting out questions or are already in relationship with God, Southlands’ Youth offers a safe place that walks beside you, wherever that is, in your journey to know Him.
I have some questions about God and I need some help to find answers…
Alpha is a safe place to connect and explore answers to questions you may have.
Youth Alpha classes cover topics like:
Life: Is There More to Life Than This?
Jesus: Who is Jesus?
Cross: Why Did Jesus Die?
Faith: How Can We have Faith?
Prayer: Why and How Do I Pray?
Word: Why and How Do I Read the Bible?
Spirit: Who Is the Holy Spirit?
Evil: How Can I Resist Evil?
I already love God but want to know Him more
At Southlands’ Youth, we know that learning more about God is a journey.  To help, we offer weekly Bible studies for both Junior and Senior High students.
Jr. High: Grades 7-10 meet in the Youth office on Sunday mornings at 10:45am during the service. Once per month they have the opportunity to help teach an Open Sunday School for children aged 6-12, or join the rest of the congregation to hear the sermon.
Sr. High: Grades 11-12 are encouraged to attend the Young Adult Bible Study on Monday evenings at 7:00pm. Currently we are studying the Book of Acts.

Contact the Youth Ministry Coordinator for more information on these classes and when they are available.

I want opportunities to worship God …
Even though we can worship God anytime and anywhere, there are certain times throughout the year where we offer a more intentional time for praising and worshiping Him. Youth Retreat weekends are special times where dozens of youth are invited to meet and worship God together, and hear challenging messages from guest speakers. The next one is March 2-4, 2018. We also host creative arts Worship Nights a few times throughout the year on a Friday night, and attend the annual MissionFest youth concert in February.
